Drinking coconut water is part of a broad social trend, which has led to people to think more about their health and make better food choices. Its reputation is catching on fast. While coconut water is still a relatively small category in New Zealand, according to AC Nielsen (MAT 2 Nov 2014 Total Supermarkets) it is growing by 161% in volume year on year.

ZICO is made from the juice of mostly young, green coconuts which contain a pure, clear liquid.  “As the fruit matures, the water is gradually replaced by coconut meat and milk, which is why we use young coconuts” says Erin.
