From September to November, New Zealand enjoys everything spring has to offer. From warm, sunny days to cool, misty showers, the season gets into full swing and the nation’s fruit-growing areas are blessed with blossom.
As the days grow longer and the nights milder, is there anything better than a sweet and simple springtime smoothie? To put a little spring in your step, we’ve put together a few delicious recipes of our own:
ZICO® mint-lime smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients:
¾ cup ZICO Natural Coconut Water
1½ bananas
1 orange, peeled and deseeded
3 mint sprigs, just leaves
½ a lime, peeled
½ cup spinach or kale (optional)
½ cup ice
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
ZICO® chocolate & banana smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup ZICO Chocolate Coconut Water
1 banana
2 tbsp. almond butter (or peanut butter)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
ZICO® green smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup ZICO Natural Pure Premium Coconut Water
1 cup ice
1 cup almond milk
1 cup kale
1 cup spinach
1 banana
4 dates
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
