MEDIA RELEASE: 19 May, 2014

Following the success of the launch of LIFT PLUS GREEN to the New Zealand Market in 2013, an energy drink fuelled by natural caffeine, LIFT PLUS has announced it will add a third player to mix, with the launch of the new sugar-free LIFT PLUS ZERO.

The new drink has retained the same great taste and maximum energy hit of the popular LIFT PLUS, but with the added benefit of zero sugar.

“Despite having the second highest energy drink consumption per capita, New Zealand has a limited variety of diet energy drink options, with diet alternatives accounting for only eight percent of the energy drink category.

“We wanted to give New Zealand consumers a low kilojoule option that would stay true to the LIFT PLUS offering. The new sugar-free LIFT PLUS ZERO tastes delicious and gives a maximum dose of energy, making it a welcome and seamless addition to the LIFT PLUS range,” says Tracey Evans, LIFT PLUS Marketing Manager.

The launch of the sugar free option follows a commitment by Coca-Cola last year to help address the issue of obesity in New Zealand, including offering more low kilojoule beverage options.
LIFT PLUS ZERO will be available in a resealable 355ml glass bottle.

Launching alongside the new sugarless drink is the LIFT PLUS GREEN in a 355ml glass bottle. The glass bottle joins the existing 250ml and 500ml can options and will be available as a single and as a multipack of four.

“We have developed a new glass bottle variety of the LIFT PLUS GREEN to give consumers the option to select a flavour they love, while enjoying a new upscale premium look and feel,” says Evans.

The LIFT PLUS GREEN 250ml cans are now also available in multipacks of six for the ultimate sharing experience.
