Coca-Cola have answered the call for all who love the taste of Classic Coca-Cola, but are watching their sugar intake.
Coke No Sugar has launched in New Zealand after years of research to create the best tasting sugar-free Coke ever.
“We think it’s the closest we have ever come to the classic taste of Coca-Cola,” Sandhya Pillay, Country Manager of Coca-Cola Oceania said.
“That’s no small task when you consider the original taste is so well-known and has been around for over 130 years,” she said.
Coke No Sugar was created over five years of research, recipe mixing and flavour trials, and is the new permanent member of the Coca-Cola family.
Developed by a team of experts at Coca-Cola US headquarters, Coke No Sugar has been designed to taste as similar to the original Coca-Cola Classic as possible.
“Coke No Sugar will be a great new choice for those who love the taste of Coke but are watching their sugar intake. This is about our business making the leap from simply offering people more choice to actively encouraging people to drink a ‘no sugar’ option,” Sandhya said.
The Next Step in Evolution
Coke No Sugar is the product of years of research and marks the latest step in the evolution of sugar-free Coca-Cola recipes that began with Diet Coke in 1982.
“We continued that journey toward finding a recipe which tastes closer to Coca-Cola classic when we launched Coke Zero in 2006,” Sandhya said. “Today, we are launching the next step in that evolution and that is Coke No Sugar.”
The Australian and New Zealand launch follows Coke No Sugar’s debut in Mexico last year. The global rollout will be the biggest launch of a new Coca-Cola since Coke Zero was introduced.
Say Yes To Coke No Sugar
New Zealander’s are amongst the first in the world to taste the new Coke No Sugar. To celebrate the launch, Coca-Cola will be giving away 200,000 free samples, making it one of Coca-Cola’s biggest ever giveaways in New Zealand.
“We’ve never tried anything this ambitious in terms of giving people the chance to try our latest drink. We want Coke No Sugar to be a consideration for Kiwis and giving them the chance to taste it for themselves is important to us,” Sandhya said.
Coke No Sugar will be available nationally from June 12, 2017 in all major and independent retailers.
